Summit Learning Services was officially created in September 2006. We began operations in a office space which housed a temporary staffing company. That company ceased operations in Nov 2006. Summit Learning Services moved into a new location in May 2007.

From the initial time Summit Learning Services was started, the owners noticed an incredible need for high quality tutoring services. The market is currently "open" and the companies who have entered so far do not keep as high of standards as we do. Not to bash any of the competition, but we feel we deliver a higher quality service.

Our business model incorporates several unique features. 1. We only hire state certified educators. 2. We provide services in office as well as student's homes. 3. We incorporate a diverse, multi-sensory curriculum 4. We give several "scholarships" to deserving yet financially strapped students. Our summer learning camp was an incredible success. Close to 100 students attended. Several of them were scholarship students. We are very proud to be able to "give back".

The company has started a franchise development program and will be ready to award franchises in 1-2 months. We have grown tremendously in the last year and are looking forward to continued growth via franchising. The most difficult part of this process has been the locating of financing. We have survived and grown using the profits of our existing customer base. We did have an investor give us a loan but the company will need additional funding in order to create the kind network envisioned by the owners.

With the public and private school system in a crisis state, more and more parents are looking for alternative and adjunct educational services for their children. The educational services sector is a top 5 growth industry. The projected growth is 12-15% annually.
